Bull & Pipe Nose Centers are used in large diameter holding applications. Pipe Nose centers are ground to a point, whereas Bull Nose are truncated and have a nose diameter. Stark Industrial centers are made of bearing quality 52100 steel, with the shank being heat treated to 40 - 45 Rc, and guaranteed to have .0002 or less total-indicator-runout.
