Are you a publicly traded company?
No. We have been a family owned business since our inception in 1959. Ray Wilkof began the company, and he is still the president. His son Sam joined the company in 1976 after earning a degree from Miami University and grew the company's measuring equipment and precision parts divisions. Jonathan Wilkof, third generation, earned an Industrial Technology degree from Ohio University and joined the company in June of 2005.
Is Stark Industrial an ISO 9001 certified company?
Yes! Stark Industrial has maintained its ISO9001 certification since 2008.
Why is Stark both a distributor AND a manufacturer?
Stark Industrial has successfully grown in this industry by responding to our customer's requests. We began as a distributor of cutting tools, and expanded by regrinding the cutting tools we sold - because our customers asked for this service. We added lathes and mills to our grinding department, and soon became a full service machine shop. That was many years ago....our equipment list has expanded and so has our knowledge of our customer's needs.
How many people do you employ?
Even with the addition of CNC equipment, our skilled labor force remains at approximately 40. Stark Industrial feels fortunate that we have not suffered serious consequences due to the economy. We have great people at Stark with an excellent work ethic and outstanding machining skills....just the kind of company you're looking for to produce your parts.
What are your office hours?
Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM EST. It is quite possible you will reach someone if you call before or after that time, however.

How do I become a Stark Center Distributor?
Call 800.362.9732 and ask for Susan, Director of Marketing. You must have customers that regularly purchase solid/dead centers to qualify.
